Their goal is to take the rich heritage of the string quartet to a new sphere. Through daring and innovative projects, they transform the contours of traditional concerts, combining new music premi\u00e8res and works from the standard repertoire canon, reviving dedicated audiences\u2019 love of the form and bridging gaps to connect with new audiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a constant desire to broaden their artistic field, the quartet regularly teams up with stage directors, composers and actors. In its musical show Invitation au voyage, in collaboration with the French-Japanese singer-actress Elsa Tsuya-Mionet, the quartet highlights particular links between Western music and Japanese culture, notably creating a dialogue between Debussy\u2019s Quartet and the Six Bagatelles Op. 9 by Anton Webern, and haikus recited in Japanese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Striving to share their passion for their craft with wider audiences, the Quatuor Odyss\u00e9e has been invited by ProQuartet &#8211; European Chamber Music Center to give educational concerts in the Paris region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The members of the Quatuor Odyss\u00e9e have a rich and diverse background, with training in France, Germany, the United States and Canada. They work regularly with Ya\u00efr Bena\u00efm (ex-Quatuor Bena\u00efm), and they have also participated in masterclasses with Mathieu Herzog (ex-Quatuor Eb\u00e8ne) and Jana Kuss (Kuss Quartett). In January 2023, they were semi-finalists at the Gran Premi Musical Lauredi\u00e0 in Andorra.
